Well, my Ninja hits the big one-oh on Thursday… double figures at last. Has to be significant of something, in cat terms at least.
As weeks go, it’s gone. Not too busy, not too much crap, some good stuff. Had a nice day today – getting together with a group of friends, age range late-20s to mid-80s, ostensibly for a workshop on decorating eggs for Easter, mainly for a sociable lunch and chat. The sort of group who would never get together under ‘normal’ circumstances, something to be grateful for.
At least spring is here at last. Walking round the garden this evening with the kitten (for whom the garden is still a thrilling adventure playground), made me think how much I need to get out there again, to reconnect. I don’t do winter – not from choice – and this winter has been particularly long – not necessarily all that hard, just long and grey and sad. Of course, it could still get a lot worse again. But we’ve seen the sunshine now, and it hasn’t been much in evidence over the last three months or so.
So, life returns, and as promised only a week or so ago, the tulips are coming out simultaneously with the daffies.
I have some stuff I’ve been writing in my diary all week, which I might or might not get round to blogging tomorrow. Depending on how long I spend out in the garden. But right now – given that I’ve been awake since 4 o’clock this morning – I don’t feel too much like doing anything, other than crashing on the sofa.
So, maybe I’ll speak to you tomorrow.
And BTW, it’s my birthday the day after Ninja’s. Shorter of breath, and one year closer to…
